Delta 7 - The Three Ps and Dealing with the DNA
Covers the genetics and reproductive techniques behind the advances in the propagation of pines and the breeding of sheep.As with the other SCIENZ Deltas, this is suitable for senior secondary science and biology classes.

Delta 8 - Through the Fog and Improving on Nature
This resource presents material based on the 3 stories illustrated in the accompanying video about 3 very different New Zealand fisheries. The resource Delta is linked by nature’s strategy of ‘surplus production’ and the need to take great care in setting out to take advantage of that strategy (management). Delta 9 - The Four Elements
Accompanied by a SCIENZ video as the above Delta is this resource consists of related classroom activities. The video looks at how scientists in New Zealand set out to identify, measure and understand the processes and systems that control our planet earth – atmospheric processes and the deep sea floor and how remote sensing techniques are used to gather information. (Years 10 –12 students).

Delta 10 - Pasture Power and Suitable for the Purpose.
Accompanied by a SCIENZ video (as above) this resource book presents material for classrooms based on two stories, one about improving rumen nutrition processes and improving the effectiveness of protective clothing. Common to both is the thinking about how to do the research. (Years 10 – 12 students).

Delta 11 - Locking the Toe
A further SCIENZ accompanied video this resource explores landslide stabilization measures taken in conjunction with the Clyde Dam project. Measurement of land movements are detailed with a full set of exercises covering the range of surveying and instrumentation techniques. (Years 11 –12 students).

Delta 12 - Genetically Modified Organisms – examples of applications to ERMA for research.
Examples of 3 original applications made to the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) presented in a format suitable for senior secondary students. The rigorous process before experimentation is allowed is detailed. (Biology Bursary students).
