The science activtiy has been developed to support the teaching of the Nature of Science stand of the NZC (2007). Science Learning Hub
Associated with the University of Waikato and funded by the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology, this is an online resource that provides web-based resources for teachers of children from Y5-10. Many of the videos and applications can be used with younger children and the material is teacher friendly, so can be used for researching a range of science topics.
The Contexts page is the best place to start, to see some of the topics covered. Choose a context and explore the sidebars, related content and connections to see just how interrelated and extensive the content of this amazing resource is.
Also take the time to explore the thinking tools and science stories. Sign up with MySci to receive email updates about the site.
