New Zealand Association of Primary Science Educators: NZAPSE

Welcome to the website for NZAPSE - New Zealand Association of Primary Science Educators
The goal of NZAPSE is "To support teachers of primary science and so enhance teaching and learning of science in the primary school"
To facilitate this goal, NZAPSE has been directed to continue to develop relationships and establish a stronger Primary Science presence within the Regional Science Teacher Associations.
Our email address: nzase.primaryscience@gmail.com
In addition to establishing links with schools, science educators and learners, NZAPSE has initiated the annual Science Week. The idea for the annual science week was developed from the very successful biennial Primary Science conferences.

This annual event, coordinated by NZAPSE and supported by the Royal Society, has two main goals:
• To enhance teaching and learning of science in the primary school through professional development for primary teachers
• To celebrate science throughout New Zealand Primary Schools
Please encourage other schools in your local area to join NZAPSE. Primary schools will be encouraged to have science as a focus for teaching
and learning during Term 2.
